About Membership
The Belleville Theatre Guild is a community theatre dedicated to producing high-quality comedies, dramas, and musicals while creating meaningful opportunities for local performers, technicians, creatives, and theatre lovers.
Membership connects you to a welcoming creative community and supports the continued growth of live theatre in Belleville.
What the Guild Provides
As a member, you gain access to the support and resources needed to participate in our productions, including:
- Production opportunities for cast, crew, and creative teams
- Rehearsal and performance spaces
- Sets, costumes, props, and technical support
- Promotion and marketing for productions
- Ticket sales and administrative support
- Instruction, mentorship, and collaborative learning opportunities
- A supportive environment for artists and volunteers of all experience levels
Ways to Get Involved
Members can participate in many ways, including:
- Performing on stage
- Working backstage or on production crews
- Assisting with costumes, props, sets, or front-of-house
- Serving on committees
- Supporting events and fundraising initiatives
- Sharing ideas and helping shape the future of the Guild
Member Participation & Voting
Membership also gives you a voice in the organization through:
- Voting at the Annual General Meeting
- Running for positions on the Board of Directors
- Sharing feedback, ideas, and concerns with the Board
Membership Requirement
Membership is required for anyone participating in any role with the Belleville Theatre Guild, including cast, crew, and production teams.
This ensures all participants are covered under our insurance policy, agree to our Code of Conduct and governing policies, and are formally recognized as part of the organization. It also helps us maintain a safe, respectful, and well-supported environment for everyone involved.
If the membership fee is a barrier, bursary support is available. Please contact the Director of Membership for assistance.

Become a Member
Membership is required to participate in any Belleville Theatre Guild production and is open year-round.
Step #1: Register
Online (preferred)
- Complete the membership form and email it to the Membership email address
or - Email the required information directly (no form needed) to membership@bellevilletheatreguild.ca
In person
- Visit the box office
- Sign up at an our open house in September
- First rehearsal of a production
Step #2: Pay Your Membership Fee
You can pay using one of the following methods:
- E-transfer to membership@bellevilletheatreguild.ca (preferred — auto-deposit, no security question required)
- Cash at the box office
- Phone payment through the box office
Membership Fees:
- Individual: $25
- Student: $20
- Family: $50
Renewal Information
- Returning members do not need to complete a new form
- Simply submit your payment to renew
Important Notes
- Membership runs July 1 – June 30 each season
- You may join at any time during the year
- New members must join at least 30 days before the Annual General Meeting to be eligible to vote

2027-28 Script Submission Window is Open
Submit a Script to be Produced in BTG's 2027-28 Season
All entries will be considered by our play selection committee.
Submission parameters:
- No more than two play submissions per individual.
- We encourage the submission of a variety of styles and genres. These may include but are not limited to comedies, dramas, musicals, classics, farces, and Canadian plays.
- Script submissions must occur between April 1 - June 30, 2026 in order to be selected.
- Those wishing to direct the script they are submitting must also upload their directing resume to be considered with their submission.
- Scripts must be submitted through the form linked below.
