Synopsis:
Children are born, they grow up, fall in love, have families, grow old, and then die. This is a true, if simplified, arc of a human life. Wilder’s play gently opens the scrapbook of several lives in small-town New Hampshire at the beginning of the 20th century. He weaves their joys and sorrows into a magical and unforgettable tale of all humanity, a tale for which he won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1938. Every theatre has staged it, but it never loses its power. Time to go back to Grover’s Corners.
