The Drowsy Chaperone

by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison

May 28 - June 13 , 2015

In this parody of musical comedy, a middle-aged self-proclaimed aficionado of musical theatre begins playing the record of his favourite Broadway show, the (fictional) 1928 hit The Drowsy Chaperone. As he wryly comments on the music, story, and actors, the show comes to life on stage. The characters burst into in his dingy apartment as it is transformed into an impressive Broadway set with seashell footlights, sparkling furniture, painted backdrops, and glitzy costumes. This hilarious Tony Award-winning Canadian musical comedy is sure to be a hit with theatre fans of all ages.
